Drawn in code
The Skylines, Haar, Frost, Place prints, Spec plates and the two humour series are vector drawings produced by code, not pictures generated by a model. A skyline is the hill's real outline as seen from a stated direction, computed from the Copernicus WorldDEM-30 elevation model and drawn to a vertical exaggeration that is printed on the poster so nobody is misled about how steep it is. Printed heights and coordinates are checked against Ordnance Survey data before a design is released.
Put plainly: designed by ProperCanny with AI-assisted design tools; no AI image generator used. The code that draws these designs was written with the help of an AI assistant. What you see on the paper was computed from data and drawn as shapes, not generated as an image.
Painted places
The watercolour series, when it reaches the shop, is different, and it will say so. Those paintings are made with AI image tools from current, licence-clean reference photographs (our own, or ones published under licences that allow it), then checked against the photographs for accuracy, because customers notice a bridge with the wrong number of arches. Every listing in that series will carry Etsy's AI disclosure.
Printed to order, never from a warehouse
Nothing is printed until you order it, which is why there is no stock to run out of. Posters are printed on 200gsm matte paper; framed prints use a wood frame with a plexi front; tees are Bella+Canvas 3001, sweatshirts are Gildan 18000, and mugs are 11oz ceramic. Each order is sent to a print partner, printed, and posted to you; see delivery and returns for times and costs.
Names, places and rights
A hill, a building, a road or a ground is named on a print as what it is. We don't reproduce club crests, badges or logos, we don't use a club's name as a design in itself, and nothing here is endorsed by or affiliated with any club, landowner or heritage body. Where a reference photograph needs a credit, the credit goes on the listing.
Colours
The prints are built from a small palette: a bone ground, charcoal ink, sage, fir and ochre. Garments come in the colours shown on each listing.
